Samanah was born in the UK, although her roots are African American. Having had the opportunity to travel worldwide spending time discovering and experiencing lifes diversity out in the West Coast of America. On one particular visit whilst out in the West Coast, Samanah stumbled upon a small souvenir shop carrying traditional handmade goods. One souvenir which caught her eye was a Quetzal feathered crown, once worn by Mayan kings, reserved only for the most powerful and influential among the tribe.
Arriving back in London in 2010, her heart was set on creating a fashion brand.Critics Clothing was born.
Samanah then started incorperating the Mayan Art into her designs, this was set to be her logo trademark symbolising both strength and power as a brand.By empowering Samanah's strong personality into the brands vision that ‘We are all Critics,’ Critics Clothing express's the message 'Power of the spirit'.
Working with a highly dedicated team of designers, Critics Clothing is able to also reach out to an audience that wouldnt usually look at these kinds of collections. Today Critics Clothing has gained mass reputation as a fashion brand and webstore.
