Lalage Beaumont is delighted to announce a bespoke service on luxury handbags at her two central London boutiques this season.
Handmade by Pavoni in northern Italy, the 'K' bags are already available in the Beauchamp Place and Avery Row stores in stamped calf leather in a selection of colours.
Now the bespoke service it being launched for those wanting something extra special.
Customers may choose from colour cards – or bring in a swatch of their own to be matched in any of the selection of exotic skins, such as eel, ostrich, python, caiman, alligator and crocodile. The next choice is which colour for the lining, ‘silver’ or ‘gold’ fittings and perhaps your name stamped inside.
Prices range from £3,500 for ostrich to £14,500 for alligator or crocodile.
For extra razzle-dazzle, bags can be ordered with solid gold fittings, nothing is too much trouble - but this naturally carries an additional cost.
To some shoppers, the real cost of these bespoke bags is having to wait 6 weeks while they are made for you, or a full 10 weeks if the skins have to be specially dyed – but then as we know, for some brands, the wait is 3 years!
