Christian Louboutin introduces the Nudes collection, comprising of five iconic styles in five shades, ranging from a fair blush to rich chestnut.
Sold exclusively at select Christian Louboutin boutiques around the world, this collection offers a spectrum of nudes, re-imagining our perception of this color from a pale blush to newly introduced shades of skin tones.
The styles include the clean lines of the point toe Pigalle, the delicate curves of the Fifi and Simple Pump, together with Flo and the designer's signature hidden platform of the Vendome peep toe pump.
The designer explains “The shoes are there to give the woman an extra lift, not to take attention away from the legs and what she is wearing. they disappear like magic and become a fluid extension of her legs, as in a sketch, elongating the silhouette."
The inspiration behind this capsule collection was to offer women the possibility of owning a pair of shoes that would closely match the color of their skin. The perfect pair can compliment any color garment and serve a transitional day-to-night purpose, a true wardrobe staple.
To celebrate the arrival of the collection in stores this month, the Nudes will be featured in Christian Louboutin windows at the Mount Street boutique. Christian Louboutin’s website and social media platforms will also get theNudes treatment with images inviting fans to explore the collection on Facebook and Twitter, and on Asian social media sites Weibo, Youku and Tudou.
Available globally today, the Nudes App opens with an animated wheel of spinning legs, an image shot by photographer Ali Mahdavi for Christian Louboutin, representing the different shades of shoes, and a start button at the center. The user can take a photo of her foot and discover which shade of nude best matches her skin tone, and share with friends via email. The Collection page showcases the styles selected by Louboutin for this Nudescollection, including sandals that will arrive in stores for the Spring Summer 2014 season.
