Triumph UK Launches ‘The Makers Collective’
Triumph ‘The Maker of Lingerie’ since 1886, chooses Autumn / Winter 2013 to embark on its most empowering campaign yet.
Inspired by women – their femininity, creativity, strength and sheer diversity, Triumph, as part of their ‘Supporting Women in Making’ campaign, have reached out to a number of ‘Women in Making’ (dubbed ‘Makers’) across a variety of creative disciplines in a celebration of true craftsmanship and expertise.
Both emotive and empowering; this campaign will see Triumph showcasing a series of fellow makers as ambassadors for the season, each member an inspiring individual, representing not only their unique craft, but also offering a personal insight into just how they got to where they are today.
As well as acting as mentors in a series of consumer activities – the celebrity collective are hosting a multitude of events within Maison Triumph, a ‘pop-up experiential brand space’ in 7 Dials, London– which will be open to the public from September LFW until January 2014. The space includes installations, events, inspirational talks and a series of maker workshops all of which feature our brand ambassadors.
As well as fronting the campaign – they are also heavily involved in the ‘Supporting Women in Making project’ – acting as mentors to a collection of real women Triumph are championing to help start up and support their businesses. These real women include an illustrator, mosaic & multi-media artist, furniture designer, jewellery designer and a chocolatier; all of whom Triumph are allowing retail space in ‘Maison Triumph’ until January 2014.
All of this will launch in line with the 3rd season Triumph has been the ‘Official catwalk lingerie supplier’ for the BFC at LFW, underpinning all of the designer shows with Triumph lingerie.
The Maker’s collective includes the below individuals:
· Paloma Faith – much more than just a standard pop artist, outspoken and unafraid: Paloma has an opinion, and as an artist pulls from a wide range of her diverse experience. Known for her creative interest in all aspects from songwriting, to set build, fashion and filmography in-between, Paloma brings a unique level of creative energy to the panel, showcasing how diversity and creativity can come together to create something wonderful. Paloma has had 2 albums which have both sold over half a million copies and she is triple BRIT nominee. A force to be reckoned with; Paloma also offers her own insights into how to build yourself into a credible brand.
· Gizzi Erskine – Chef and food writer, Gizzi is truly a modern icon, known for her culinary prowess alongside some serious vintage style credentials. She is a multifaceted woman who knows more than a thing or two about making a career change, going from body piercing to culinary whizz, food author, stylist and columnist. A champion of new culinary talent through her television work with Cook Yourself Thin and a long time voice of the London pop up restaurant scene, Gizzi provides an authentic voice on how making a change, being brave enough to make the leap can really pay off.
· Roksanda Ilincic – our campaign’s ‘fashion insider’ whose own ethos represents a femininity and strength of character evident in her own personal style as well as her hugely successful catwalk creations joins as the Maker’s next member.
