Norwegian lifestyle brand SWIMS are proud to introduce a new range of men’s and women’s footwear for SS13.

 

Launched in 2005, SWIMS was Johan Ringdal’s solution to the dilemma of how to wear stylish shoes in bad weather.  Drawing inspiration from his Norwegian roots and traditional galoshes, he founded SWIMS a brand which creates shoes with a playful and stylish aesthetic while embodying the essence of practicality.

In keeping with the label’s ‘reinventing the classics’ philosophy, the focus of the new collection is the SWIMS Loafer.  This take on the ultimate classic has been designed as the essential accessory for summer whether on the beach, on a boat or in the city. 

 

The SWIMS loafer is made of water resistant rubber with nylon upper and moulded foot bed which offers great support for the wearer. The sole is non-marking with a ribbed pattern designed to maximise traction on slippery surfaces and the ventilation gills on the sides ensure great breathability and ultimate comfort.

 

Undamaged by water, SWIMS loafers are the perfect shoe come rain or shine and are even machine washable.  The eye catching silhouette is complemented by SWIMS signature colour palate which masterfully captures the feel of summer.

 

While SWIMS design is fundamentally driven by a desire to produce practical footwear, the Loafers are testament to the fact that their shoes have become fashion must haves in their own right.
