Building on the success of its launch earlier this year, Studio Africa is returning with a focus on championing musicians inspired by their African heritage; Studio Africa has thus chosen three musical acts – Spoek, Faarrow andOLUGBUENGA - to support in the creation of a music video accompanying their newest release and shot entirely in Africa.
Each artist travelled the continent to shoot in a location that was meaningful to their music - Soweto for Spoek, Nairobi for Faarrow, and Lagos for OLUGBENGA. The result is three unique videos, conceived by the artists themselves and expressing the vitality of these young African creatives making their voices heard in the music industry.
Studio Africa will promote each artist through their digital channels, Tumblr, social media and in-store activities in Diesel stores. Each video will accompany an official single launch from the acts:
Diesel+EDUN will continue their Studio Africa denim collaboration to be releasedon 15th August online at www.diesel.com/diesel+edun and in select Diesel stores. Born in Africa and worn by this new generation of talent in each of the videos, the collection is entirely manufactured on the continent with the finest CCI cotton from Uganda.
The Studio Africa campaign is a virtual loudspeaker for a new generation of artists, stretching across the continent to discover and promote inspiring individuals.
