Attendees were among the first in the world to see and experience the BMW i3, revealed to guests for the very first time during the evening reception. Taking place in the iconic Old Billingsgate Market, guests were treated to a DJ set from model-of-the-moment Amber Le Bon and actor and model Jack Guinness, whilst sipping Moët & Chandon Champagne and enjoying a host of sumptuous canapés.
The launch of the BMW i3 represents the dawn of a new era for electric mobility. The first series-produced vehicle from the BMW i brand is also the world’s first premium car with an all-electric drive system, which goes to an impressive 150kph. The design, space concept and driving characteristics of the BMW i3 are part of an overall package that opens up an all-new experience of emission-free mobility.
Commenting on the BMW i3, James Franco said ‘as a champion of art and design I love the way BMW has managed to combine style, functionality and technology. This car makes being green cool, which is really important,’ whilst Sienna said, ‘being a new mother I am very passionate about making green changes in my life to leave a better world for the next generation. 100% electric as well as stylish is something brand new which no one else offers making the i3 the perfect city car for me.’
Sienna stole the show whilst reflecting the green theme in a floral Dolce & Gabbana 1950’s tea-dress paired with Charlotte Olympia strappy sandals which perfectly matched the suave elegance of James Franco’s Gucci suit.
London’s finest flocked to see Sienna and James including friends of both stars and the car aficionados brand such as: Sienna Miller, James Franco, Poppy Delevingne, Laura Bailey, Laura Whitemore, Peaches Geldof, Donna Air, Amber Le Bon, Jack Guinness, Ben Hudson, Wretch 32, Oliver Cheshire, Lilah Parsons, Blake, Grace Woodward, Jade Ewan, Phil Clifton, Ella Catliff and Sacha Bailey, Percy Parker and Amy Molyneaux.
