An Evening of Dinner & Dancing at Daphne’s
VIP friends and faces flocked to the iconic and much-loved restaurant to the Royals and stars, Daphne’s, in South Kensington for an intimate evening of dinner and dancing. Attendees braved the heat in the capital for the event and arrived to a refreshing Möet & Chandon Champagne reception with talk of the Royal Baby hot on everyone’s lips.
At 8pm guests were invited to sit down at the sharing tables making new friends for the evening whilst dining on the beautiful Italian fare of Caprese salad to start, steamed sea bass with grilled Mediterranean vegetables for main, followed by the iconic Italian dessert Tiramasu, all prepared to the restaurant’s stand-out excellence that has made it a desirable destination for many years.
Fresh from the Lindo Wing intrepid explorer Ben Fogle arrived to celebrate both boy births in a Royal blue suit topped off with post it yellow espadrilles. Prince George seems to already be a fashion trend setter with many of the guests also opting for a royal blue hue in their clothing whilst Patrick Grant heralded city chic with his shorts and linen shirt combination with an electric pair of green loafers. Annabelle Wallis stepped out in a stylish pair of ‘killer heels’ and was overheard declaring her love for them to her new friend at dinner, little did she know she was speaking to Nicholas Kirkwood, the creator of said heels who was thrilled at the happy coincidence.
Post dinner, vocal quartet Three and a Half Men started the party with their toe-tapping renditions of Alien in New York which had Rachael Barratt singing along with her Jamaican in New York lyrics. Playing for their supper, friends Hugo Heathcote and Isaac Ferry jumped on the decks which saw Patrick Grant, Angela Scanlan and Annabelle Wallis spring onto their feet and with the rest of the crowd swiftly following, dancing into the small hours of the morning.
VIP attendees included: Bip Ling, Sasha Volkova, Angela Scanlan, Amanda Eliasch, Ben & Marina Fogle, Patrick Grant, Jackson Scott, Henry Alison Jackson, Nicholas Kirkwood, Olivia Grant, Annabelle Wallis, Lord Harry Dalmeny, Rachael Barratt, Isaac Ferry, Victoria Pattinson, Shirley Leigh-Wood-Oakes and Thomasina Miers
