Selfridges celebrates new Disney film with Nicholas Kirkwood

From today, Selfridges is celebrating Disney’s latest film Oz The Great and Powerful in a new partnership as part of the store’s Shoe Carnival. This will include an exclusive footwear collection by Nicholas Kirkwood and an exhibition of original costumes and props from the movie in its Oxford Street windows. The British shoe designer has worked with Disney to create a four-piece capsule collection of shoes inspired by the lead protagonists from the film, comprised of three women’s styles and Kirkwood’s first men’s shoe to market – inspired by James Franco’s character, the Wizard of Oz. The Green python cutout sandal, inspired by Evanora (Rachel Weisz), will be priced at £1095; the Ruffle pump with crystal toe, inspired by Glina (Michelle Williams), £965; Red velvet jewel-encrusted boots, inspired by Theodora (Mila Kunis), £895; and the Men’s brogue inspired by Oscar Diggs, the Wizard of Oz (James Franco) - £POA.
