Diane von Furstenberg Launches Fall 2012 Ad Campaign
In August 2012, DVF will launch their Fall Advertising Campaign which tells the story of their Fall Collection, Rendez-vous.
Featuring the model Arizona Muse and shot by photographer Camilla Akrans, the campaign transcends seasons, focusing on the strength of the DVF woman and the DVF brand. With New York based creative agency, Laird+Partners, the DVF team transformed a deserted airstrip into a surrealistic landscape where anything is possible. Interacting with an oversized, DVF icon with a reflective surface, the campaign evokes the moment in which a woman discovers she can be the woman she wants to be.
“It is all about joie de vivre...expectation and possibility,” says von Furstenberg
For the face of the campaign, Diane von Furstenberg and her Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere instantly agreed Muse was the perfect choice.
“She is a real woman...strong and happy. She’s determined, she is talented, she is a hard worker and she knows what she wants,” says von Furstenberg. “And that is so DVF.”
Muse’s effortless sex appeal coupled with the mystery of black, the possibility of infinity and the drama of open sky, effortlessly translates the DVF Fall Collection, Rendez-vous. The season’s sleek silhouettes, vibrant jewel tones and playful Fetish Box Clutches pop against the darkened landscape, for a result that is glamorous, sexy and bold.
“The collection is very sexy...it is mysterious,” says Creative Director Yvan Mispelaere. “We wanted to make sure the campaign reflected that.”
