Fashion label Monki opens debut UK standalone store
Fashion label Monki is opening a second store in London, at midday today, at 37 Carnaby Street. The two-storey, 360m2 premises is the brand’s first standalone store in the UK, following the opening of a concept space at Selfridges last year. The store's design concept is in the style of a underwater cave containing sunken carousels, sea monsters and jellyfish. To celebrate the opening, 100 balloons, all with gifts attached, will be on offer outside the store. The visitors who pick-up one of these will be entitled to a special opening-day discount in the store. Monki, which also hosts an online shop that delivers to the UK and 17 other European countries, mixes street style and Scandinavian fashion sense, with prices ranging from £5 to £110
