Below is the press release for Sally Pang's SS 11 collection with photos from The Hauser Bears Fashion Event at London Fashion Week. Sally is an innovator of style, elegance and class, I champion her all the way as its great to see an upcoming designer with such talent and direction.
Sally Pang
New interpretations of classic beauty, original pieces of unconventional detail.
Born in Hong Kong and raised in the UK, Sally is immersed in the fusion of diverse cultural ideas around feminine beauty. Her brand represents the juxtaposition and blending together of these in contemporary, playful ways.
Frequently inspired by travel adventures with her girlfriends, Sally's designs feature their energy and their vibrant disposition. Each lovingly-handmade piece is named with them in mind. Sally is passionate about the exquisite use of unconventional fabrics for movement, flow and their versatile qualities. She creatively manipulates these to form diverse shapes, volume, and fit.
This 2011 collection begins with inspiration from a recent Mediterranean trip: a nod to the elegant Grecian drapery and the clean, smooth lines of Cycladic sculptures. The colour palette is kept to simple tones, set against the expansive blue and turquoise hues of the Aegean Sea. Combining edgier day wear with romantic, highly embellished pieces, this inaugural range of dresses is dedicated to the jet-setting goddess who adores a stand-out travel wardrobe.
To best appreciate the thoughtfulness and care behind each hand-made piece, Sally invites you to try these one for yourself.
Beauty is in your individual interpretation ~
