Kurt Geiger x charity Hope and Homes for Children unveil #NoChristmasWindow campaign

Kurt Geiger and charity Hope and Homes for Children unveil ‘No Christmas Window’. Traditionally a time to launch big visual displays, Kurt Geiger has pledged to donate its Christmas window funds to Hope and Homes for Children to help give Children the gift of a family.

Hope and Homes for Children is a charity working to end institutional care of children globally. There are over 8 million children confined to orphanages around the world. Hope and Homes for Children work to ensure one day all children can grow up with the love and protection of a family.

Kurt Geiger and Hope and Homes for Children are putting a simple but effective idea in the window: a single scarlet bauble representing love for every single child.

Kurt Geiger and Hope and Homes for Children took the first footsteps together for the charity’s fundraising walk on International Children’s Day, 1st June 2014. Dubbed the ‘sponsored event for those who prefer retail to running’, the inaugural Ten Stores Challenge saw TV presenter Claudia Winkleman rally participants to walk 10km between ten iconic London stores.

Neil Clifford, Chief Executive Officer of Kurt Geiger said:

‘This Christmas, we hope to create awareness for this incredible charity, inspire others to act and raise money to change children’s lives‘

Mark Waddington, Chief Executive Officer of Hope and Homes for Children said:

"For children all around the world Christmas is a time of wonder and joy. But for millions of children confined to orphanages and institutional care, Christmas offers no hope. These children have no love, no protection and no family.

We are extremely grateful to Kurt Geiger for their support of our work and the #NoChristmasWindow initiative is just incredible. With the support of Kurt Geiger and their wonderful customers we will be able to help even more children in the future to keep them safe and loved."

The ‘No Christmas Window’ campaign will run during the month of December, when every pound donated before 12th December 2014 will be doubled by the UK government.

Please pledge your support by visiting www.hopeandhomes.co.uk or Text NUMB60 to 70070 to donate £5 and spread the word for children this Christmas.
