Taka Hayashi Brings his Intricate Artwork to Vans Original Classics

 

Influenced by the shapes and patterns seen in Mexican embroidery, designer and artist Taka Hayashi introduces the Sk8 Paradise pack in his latest Vault by Vans capsule. Taking his hand drawn artwork to the uppers of Original Classics silhouettes, Hayashi’s Sk8 Paradise pack presents a unique arrangement of skateboards, skeletons and floral embellishments across the OG Authentic LX and OG Sk8-Hi LX.

Built with the same design specs as their first size runs from decades ago, the OG Authentic LX and OG Sk8-Hi LX are brought forth in two color schemes – Black and Marshmallow/Peacoat – with Taka’s intricate print covering the low-top range and detailing the quarter panels of Vans’ iconic Sidestriped design. Tonal leather binding reinforces the structure of the OG Authentic LX while the suede overlays put the finishing touches on the OG Sk8-Hi LX. The Vault by Vans x Taka Hayashi Sk8 Paradise pack arrives this month at select boutique accounts.
