UNIQLO, Pharrell Williams “i am OTHER”Collaboration Line
UNIQLO announces the launch of the second “i am OTHER” collection, a collaborationwith world- renowned performer and music producer Pharrell Williams. Brimming withoriginality, down to the tiniest details, Pharrell and street fashion icon NIGO - whotook over as UNIQLO T-shirt (UT) Creative Director from 2014 Spring, Summer –have worked together to bring it to life once again.
Pharrell Williams is a creative force, using music, fashion and design to express hisdistinctive style. Cited as Billboard’s Producer of the Decade in 2010 and with over 100million copies of his productions sold, his prolific body of work extends tocollaborating on a sculpture with artist Takashi Murakami. Now, with his latest venture“I am OTHER” – a multi-media creative collective and dedicated original content channel– Williams’ vision continues to push pop culture forward.
The “i am OTHER” collaboration comprises men’s and women’s sweats in a variety ofcolors and
patterns, each with a message from Pharrell, including “Think Other” and “THE SAMEIS LAME.”
Approaching its 13th year, UT offers around 1,000 T-shirts annually, with graphics fromthe worlds of art, music, comics, anime, and other pop culture inspired imagery, to allowanyone to freely express their individuality. From 2014, street fashion icon NIGO tookover as UT Creative Director, leading revisions to the T-shirt and sweats body style andcarefully selecting the graphics.
