“Sonnet” Collection
Pattern and colour are the focal point of the AMYKARINE timeless collection of exquisite luxury silk twill and chiffon squares, created by the designers Amy and Karine Brutijan. The collection entitled “Sonnet” is inspired by the English romantic poetry of Wordsworth, Shelley and Byron and their emphasis on intuition and emotion as a source of inspiration; by their philosophical vision of love and worship of nature and its glory; by fairy tales and the mystic world of fantasy animals and creatures created by artistic imagination; by all kind things which give humans Hope and Love.
The Sonnet collection reveals the AMYKARINE signature style of stunning patterns and beautiful colours, being both timeless, classical and at the same time chic, modern and trendy. The collection has a very rich and varied color palette, featuring bold and bright colours, as well as a softer pastel range. The prints are based on hand-drawn illustrations by the designer siblings and are very unique and eye-catching. The range includes the signature AMYKARINE Monogram print in original interpretation, which features the word “Love” in world languages and also abstract prints created through oil paintings by Amy and Karine.
Each scarf is a very limited edition piece and has a hand-crafted hem. The scarves are manufactured in England, following the principle of eco-sustainable production and are presented in a signature AMYKARINE gift box.
