SCOTTISH FASHION AWARDS 2014 CALL FOR ENTRIES

The Scottish Fashion Awards kicks off the application process, calling for entries from Scotland’s fashion and textiles stars. Going into it’s 9th year the Scottish Fashion Awards will take place once again in the UK’s Fashion Capital of London on the 1st September 2014 at the 5 star venue, 8 Northumberland. 2013 saw Laura Whitmore host the VIP event, with the annual awards show moving to London for the first time. The stylish guestlist included David Gandy, Laura Carmichael, Stella Tennant, Christopher Kane, Mary Charteris, Pam Hogg, Thom Evans and Amy McDonald, to name only a few.

 

Over the past 9 years, the Scottish Fashion Awards have welcomed fashion influencers from around the world and are now a firm fixture on the international fashion calendar, being dubbed ‘Scotland’s Fashion Oscars’.

 

Founder of the awards Tessa Hartmann said: “Our job here is to raise awareness to the incredible Scottish fashion, design and business talent within the industry. Having the event in one of the world's fashion capitals allows these brands to spread their wings, be recognised by their global peers and increase their ever growing platform. The deadline for entries is Friday 27^th June 2014, inviting all of Scotland’s fashion and textiles industry to enter the exciting awards process. The entries will be collated and the impressive shortlist will then be presented to our prestigious judging panel which includes the most powerful fashion industry players in the world, renowned photographer Rankin, Vogue Italia’s Sara Maino, Justine Picardie Harpers Bazaar Editor, Drapers’ Eric Musgrave, Grazia’s Editor-in-Chief Jane Bruton and Hilary Alexander to name only a few.
