Chelsea In Bloom 2014 In Association with RHS Chelsea Flower Show

The world class alternative floral art show is back, with this year’s theme encompassing: Creation in Colour – a journey through fashion, food and lifestyle. Chelsea in Bloom, now in its 9th year, is the complimentary alternative to the prestigious RHS Chelsea Flower Show and will see retailers of the royal borough once again competing to create the most imaginative and creative constructions, formed entirely from fresh flowers and plants.

From Monday the 19th – Saturday 24th of May, in association with the RHS Chelsea Flower Show, Chelsea in Bloom brings the area to life as its inventive floral displays spill out onto the streets. The public can stroll past the show-stopping floral installations for free whilst enjoying the world class shops and restaurants in Sloane Square, Sloane Street, Duke of York Square and the surrounding environs. Visitors can also enjoy a number of other activities including free rickshaw tours of the Chelsea in Bloom entrants, as well as pop-up champagne and ice cream bars, where a glass of bubbly and a cooling treat will be on offer. A number of floral themed in-store activities will also be taking place throughout the week, for adults and children alike.

Official RHS Chelsea Flower Show Judges, (further high profile judges to be confirmed,) will put the retailers through their paces and judge the Chelsea in Bloom participants on creativity, flair, use of fresh flowers as well as their take on the colourful theme. Visitors can vote for their favourite eye-catching display in the People’s Choice Award by visiting www.chelseainbloom.co.uk.

Last year saw spectacular contributions from a record-breaking number of retailers. Centred around a theme of ‘Chelsea through the Ages’ in celebration of the RHS Chelsea Flower Show’s Centenary year, an array of stunning floral designs were planted, as each store visually interpreted how they were rooted in Chelsea’s well-established history. Rag and Bone took home the highly sought after first place with their fresh, authentic and symbolic display.

Chelsea in Bloom promises fun and entertainment for the whole family, and is the perfect way to spend your springtime afternoon.
