Quintessentially Foundation Poker Night

Last night I popped along to the event which was something new for me ... The room was buzzing with an amazing atmosphere and the smell of money but it was all in good fun and for an amazing cause ...

Last night saw Quintessentially Foundation - the charitable arm of Quintessentially Lifestyle - host its third annual poker evening in the beautifully restored Lancaster Ballroom at The Savoy Hotel.

Sponsored by The Playboy Club and following a lavish Champagne reception, 250 players took their seats alongside VIP faces including Max Brown, Oliver Cheshire andLuther’s Sienna Guillory (who defied the autumnal weather in a sunshine yellow Moschino dress)as well as poker enthusiasts alike for this hotly anticipated Texas Hold’em tournament. At stake were ten amazing ‘money-can’t-buy’ prizes including two tickets to Las Vegas with a five night stay at the Bellagio, Mirage or Mandalay Bay and a private screening for 35 guests courtesy of Working Title Films.

Guests were seen watching the impressive poker skills of Liv Boeree, who was playing with an exclusive set of Cartamundi James Bond 50th Anniversary Compact Poker cards throughout the evening, whilst Oliver Cheshire and Pete Reed both chose to attend the poker night with their brothers.

The night raised a staggering total of £160,000 for The Duchenne Children’s Trust – the charity committed to finding and funding treatments, trials and an eventual cure for Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

This year, as well as enjoying the poker, guests enjoyed a fully functioning charity casino where observers and defeated attendees were seen playing a host of casino favourites including Black Jack and Roulette, in true Vegas style – exchanging real money for Quintessentially Foundation currency.

Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed a selection of bespoke Quintessentially Vodka cocktails, Bellerose Biere Blonde and Harry Brompton’s London Ice Tea, before being invited to enjoy a drink at Playboy Club London to celebrate.

On departure, all guests were treated to a luxury goody bag – including gifts such as the Cartamundi James Bond 4-in-1 Playing Cards, Mr Stanley’s Chocolate and donations from The Playboy Club London and Quintessentially Lifestyle.

VIP attendees included: Ben Elliot, Max Brown, Oliver Cheshire, Liv Boeree, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Dan Lobb, Jeremy King, Louise Cole, Sienna Guillory, Pete Reed, Wilfred Frost
