Appearances at this year's awards ceremony included Chinese superstar pianist Lang Lang duetting with Nicola Benedetti, Joseph Calleja, Ludovico Einaudi, Australian saxophonist Amy Dickson and the debut performance from Gareth Malone's Voices choir. There was also a very special performance from Les Misérables stars Alfie Boe and Samantha Barks.
