SMART TURNOUT POPS UP IN SELFRIDGES

The British menswear heritage label launches for the first time in the UK with an exclusive unveiling at Selfridges in London, just in time for Father’s Day.

Selfridges is delighted to announce the launch of this exclusive preppy pop-up within the store’s mens formalwear space, celebrating classic gentlemen’s styling that draws on the colours of Britain’s most elite institutions. As the first ever department store showcase for the brand, the pop-up plays host to the physical debut for the previously online-only retailer.

The pop-up will feature the brand’s much-coveted accessories range of bags, bow ties, braces and belts, as well as watches, socks and cufflinks in the traditional spirit of Father’s Day gift ideas.

Adam Kelly, Selfridges Buying Manager for Mens Formalwear & Accessories, comments: “We see a huge appetite for quality gifting around Father’s Day and aim to make that shopping experience as convenient as possible, so we’re delighted to be able to offer the collection from Smart Turnout in a dedicated space in-store. Smart Turnout is the brainchild of former Scots Guards officer Philip Turner. Having had his racing colours knitted for the Grand Military Gold Cup at Sandown, Philip looked to source a quality jumper in his regimental colours. Unable to find a retailer, he set out to make his own and it wasn’t long before his attire caught the eye of his fellow Guardsmen. Soon, Philip was producing not only jumpers, but ties, socks and a whole host of accessories.

Jump forward ten years, and Smart Turnout has well and truly transformed from a regimental retailer to a fully-fledged menswear line. The collection expertly combines quality fabrics with fashion forward styling, all enriched with the colourful heritage of the elite institutions it was inspired by years before.
