EDUN AW12 WOMENSWEAR COLLECTION

FALL/WINTER 2012 WOMEN’S COLLECTION
“SAFARI PUNK”

The Edun girl loves to mix it up. She has taken her punk rock roots on a safari and has come back with a contagious affinity for electric colors, animal prints, and handcrafted knits. This mash-up of 80s vibe leathers, plaids, mesh, and tech-finished fabrics combined with African safari prints are the inspiration of EDUN’s FW 2012 Women’s collection.

Sharon Wauchob explores this fusion of electric energy and artisanal details to put a fresh spin on a modern bohemian. Zebra prints run wild in leather-banded mini-skirts and shirt dresses. Giraffes, springbok, and leopards are fused with school girl flannel and techno plaids. Baobab trees in desert landscapes grace both silk chiffon and taffeta. Like postcards gone wild, these photographic prints have been blown-out, colored-up, and contrasted in signature Edun style that exemplifies the duality of the Edun girl.

This transformation is completed by outerwear pieces that mix bonded plaid, leather, flannel, and laminated wools. Traditional desert colors are modernized in electric turquoise, garnet, raspberry, and chartreuse.
